Halloween Makeup Using Everyday Makeup

For those of you who need a last minute outfit, this is perfect! Apart from the fake blood on my mouth, which can be achieved with lipstick anyway, I haven't used any face paint or anything you won't find in your makeup draw! The next 10 steps will easily guide you to the finished look...
 1) Of course begin with a clear face. I then used my vitamin E moisture mask from The body shop to moisturise my face.

2) Prime, conceal and apply a foundation. For this look I recommend using a paler foundation than your skin tone as it adds to the look.

3) Using a black eye shadow, I have contoured my face, blending out as I do so.

4) I have used a pale cream eye shadow on the base of my lid...

5) Then used a liquid eyeliner to draw two triangles on my lids. It was so hard to get them even! Some people like to invest in the creepy contact lenses, though this is a free alternative!

 6) For the lips I have planned out using two dots where I am going to make a line to...

 7) Then joined them up with my lips using a lip liner. These lines don't need to be 100% symmetrical as once you start talking and smiling you don't stay still enough for people to notice!

8) Taking my Rimmel lipstick (as talked about in this post) I am filling in my lips to make them brighter and bolder.

9) I then went back and applied some mascara and filled in my eyebrows with a black pencil eye liner (I wouldn't do this on a daily basis if I were you)

10) To finish the look I had some fake blood from a previous year which I used to dribble down from my lips! If of course you don't have fake blood, I would take a lip brush and your red lipstick and paint on some blood drips! This will also help even out any uneven lines created earlier :)

For my outfit I paired a H&M crop top with my Miss Selfridge black skirt - then my shoes are from New Look!

Thank you for reading + Happy Halloween!
I'm off to Poland in the morning therefore I won't be posting for a week, take care and I'll see you soon!

7 Autumn Must Haves

Today I thought I'd share with you, a few of my favourite fall essentials. There are a variation of items on this list so hopefully I may inspire all of you in some way or another!

1) Nescafe Spiced Orange Mocha. To get my day started I love to have a brew, my kitchen cupboard is full of different flavoured coffees/teas so when I saw this box on the shelf in ASDA, it practically flew into my trolley. The taste warms and soothes my insides on a chilly morning, definitely a must this autumn!

2) Rimmel London lipstick in the colour Alarm 170 - this lasting finish red lipstick completes a monotone outfit.

 3) Seventeen lipstick in the colour Rule Breaker is a gorgeous plumb shade. The downside of this lipstick is that it's not very nourishing therefore does rely on a lip balm.

4) Cocoa (15) flavoured lip gloss from The Body Shop smells delicious and adds a pretty neutral sheen to your lips. Perfect for just a little finishing touch to your outfit.

5) My last favourite lip product is this slightly deeper red shade from Top Shop and it's in Hazard. The price is very reasonable, and I prefer how it's not as bright as the Rimmel London lipstick I shower you previously.

6) TOFFEE APPLES are by far the best thing about this time of year. I hope you've all had/tried one before, if not I'll personally mail you one! The sweetness of the toffee perfectly contributes to the apple, and you don't feel so bad for having a naughty treat as you're having an apple!

7) And finally, my Candy Corn Yankee Candle in it's pumpkin tea light holder! More information on this can be seen on this blog post! :)

Primark Denim Jacket

Hello Lovelies!

I've just realised that the OOTD post I am sharing with you today contains quite a lot of Primark, which is always a bonus! I wore this outfit to college one day last week, it's not exactly an outfit I'd usually wear - though I really liked it and made a change from wearing black, haha.

The skinny jeans I am wearing are in a very pale grey colour from River Island.
Necklace - Accessorise
I placed a collared white shirt from Primark under a maroon comfortable sweater - which I also picked up from Primark. I love how comfortable this is on, with the white collar peeping over the top adds a finishing touch. The necklace I am wearing is my favourite thing ever! Elephants are my favourite, and the little silver necklace goes with practically everything.
To keep me extra warm I chucked on this denim fleeced jacket, also from Primark! My nails are painted with a Matte Barry M varnish, in the colour Crush.

The desert booties I'm wearing in a lovely aubergine shade are from an independent shoe shop that I can't remember the name of as I got them about 2 years ago, sorry!

Thank you for reading! I hope you're all having a nice week :)

Big Blue Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies!

"Float your cares away"

Who doesn't love a good LUSH bath bomb!? 'Big Blue' is in fact very big and does in fact make your bath a gorgeous blue shade, the scent is calming yet refreshing and you end up sharing your bath with quite a bit of Arame seaweed. (Scroll down for more information at the end!)
Thank you Alex for being my hand model! hahaha

Big Blue does a lot more than smell and look lovely, the ingredients work wonders in ways you'd never of even thought of! The following information I have collected off the LUSH website, click on the link if you'd like to see or hear more about the bath bomb!
  • Arame seaweed, softens in your hot bath water. Arame is rich in vitamins and minerals including iodine, which helps to regulate the metabolism.
  • Sea salt softens the skin, helping to remove dead skin cells.
  • Lemon oil clears the mind and, like lavender oil, is antiseptic and cleansing.

Perfect Pancakes

 Hello Lovelies!

Two days ago I decided to make pancakes with Alex, however I was pretty worried as every time I've made pancakes before, they turned out horrifically. We made the mixture ourselves and with my *sarcasm* amazing cooking skills I actually managed to make 8 pancakes! Here is how we made them...

The ingredients:
  • 140g plain flour
  • 200ml whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 25g unsalted butter, melted, plus a little extra for greasing

    1) Sift the flour with a pinch of salt into a medium-size bowl and make a well in the middle.

    2) Mix the milk and 100ml of water together. Break the eggs into the well and start whisking slowly. Add the milk and water in a steady stream, whisking constantly and gradually incorporating the flour as you do so.

    3) Whisk until the batter is smooth and all the flour has been incorporated.

    4) We then sifted the mixture again to remove excess lumps.

    5) Set the batter aside to rest for 30 mins (we actually waited 15 minutes as we were too hungry to wait, oops), then whisk the melted butter into the batter.

    6) Heat the pan over a medium heat. Very lightly grease the pan with melted butter. Using a ladle, pour roughly 2 tbsp of batter into the pan and swirl it around so the bottom of the pan is evenly coated

    7) Don't forget to toss your pancake once one side is turning a golden crown colour!

Everyone has their own topping choices, personally I always have something sweet on my pancakes.

They were delicious, though I was reaaaallly full and felt slightly sick afterwards due to a Nutella overload, opps.

What do you like to have on your pancakes??

    Real Techniques Starter Set Review

    Hello Lovelies!

Here's my second review on the make up brushes I treated myself to last week :)

Again, the lighting is horrific!! Apologies.

Next up I purchased the Real Techniques Starter Set, this is the set that contains brushes to get you started on your eyes. These were the brushes I was most wanting to purchase, as I have really sensitive skin especially on my eye lids, and therefore when it came to purchasing new brushes I knew I could trust this brand!

  • Base shadow brush: applies a smooth, flawless foundation of colour.
  • Deluxe crease brush: soft, oversized design for effortless contouring.
  • Accent brush: for precision detailing, highlighting and smudging.
  • Fine liner brush: for precision application of liquid of cream eyeliner.
  • Brow brush: distinctive shape easily defines eyebrows.

I purchased these for £13.25 on Amazon with FREE UK delivery, though of course this set can be purchased at many other stores.

Real Techniques Core Collection Kit Review

    Hello Lovelies!

For my Birthday my cousin gave me a £15 Amazon voucher, which I recently put towards some new make up brushes! Firstly, I chose the Real Techniques Core Collection kit...

Apologies on the editing, unfortunately it was a rainy day and I'm not too sure what happened!
The pack contains 4 full size brushes in a panoramic case which doubles as a 2-in-1 case + stand

  • Detailer brush: precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition
  • Pointed foundation brush: Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage
  • Buffing brush: ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation
  • Contour brush: delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish

  • These brushes are so soft on my skin and apply foundation perfectly! Personally, I've been using buffing brush to also apply my liquid foundation in circular motions, blending outwards, to give me the most natural finish.

This kit is currently at £13.83 on Amazon with FREE UK delivery, although of course there are many other places where you can buy these brushes :)
